Those who know me, really do understand how much I love Doctor Who (except when I hate it, don't read my most recent reviews). But, I really do love it, which is why I can be so critical of it... sometimes.
One thing is for sure, I genuinely think the vast majority of Doctor Who from its revival in 2005, all the way up to Whittaker's departure in 2022, are wonderful television.
My favorites will always remain the Smith and Capaldi eras, with a special place in my heart for the Eccleston being my first Doctor, and Tennant for making the show reach so many more hearts across the world.
Here's hoping it being put out for competitive tender will result in the show coming back better than ever in a few years time (Hollywood screenwriter Dean Devlin has recently confirmed his interest in rebooting the show, as the BBC seeks a new production partner).
I'd love for it to continue, and it will always be my favorite show in the world. For now though, here's to catching up on some gold ol' Who with these brand new box sets.
I'm planning to do a big rewatch soon, so these are coming out at just the right time. Maybe I'll even dip my toes back into some more Classic Who box sets in the meantime as well!
