Weapons Is Officially Getting a 4K Steelbook, Now Up for Preorder

If you're a horror fan who's itching to lock in a copy of Zach Cregger's latest feature, Weapons, the good news is you don't have to wait. Preorders are already up for the film's 4K steelbook, so you can secure a copy right away for your library. It's currently available at Amazon and Walmart with a release date that's still to be determined (which makes sense, given the film's only just released in theaters), but by preordering now you can set yourself up for a killer movie night delivered right to your door once it's available.

Preorder Weapons 4K Steelbook

The steelbook is available at both Walmart and Amazon, but Amazon has it for a bit cheaper ($37.99, as opposed to Walmart's $44.25).

The front cover for the Weapons 4K steelbook features a nice subtle image of a child looking out of a window. On the rear is the display of a digital clock, a reference to the film's instigating incident where 17 children disappear from their homes at 2:17am. Much less subtle is the inside cover, which features a much creepier image of a little kid staring straight into your soul. As with many early preorders like this one, there aren't any bonus features announced yet, but we'll be sure to add them here later when they're made available.

We found a lot to love in Weapons. Our glowing 9/10 review from Tom Jorgensen called it a "righteous, fully actualized genre-bender in which writer-director Zach Cregger hones Barbarian’s blend of unbearable tension and dark humor to a new level of razor-sharpness."

This isn't the only horror film worth adding to your physical media collection, though. If you're on the hunt for more frightening features, check out our roundup of upcoming 4K UHD and Blu-ray releases to see what's coming out over the next few months. These range from newer theatrical releases dropping in a physical format, like 28 Years Later, to classics getting the 4K treatment, like the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead.
