Chance Perdomo’s Gen V Role Will Not Be Recast

Gen V’s producers have issued a statement confirming that Chance Perdomo’s Gen V character Andre Anderson will not be recast for the second season of the series. Perdomo died at 27 in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in March.

“We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance,” explains the statement. “Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May.”

Perdomo’s Andre Anderson, a superhero with magnetic manipulation powers, was last seen in custody with several other students following the events of the season 1 finale.

Gen V’s producer’s have vowed to “honor Chance and his legacy this season.”

A spin-off of The Boys, Gen V takes place in a college designed exclusively for young adult superheroes. The series premiered on Prime in September, 2023, with IGN’s 9 out of 10 review declaring the show had hit the ground running “like a juiced-up A-Train.”
