Deadpool 3, Wicked, and Quiet Place Prequel Trailers Expected to Debut During Super Bowl

Deadpool 3, Wicked, and A Quiet Place: Day One are among the movies expected to debut trailers during the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII.

The Super Bowl is right around the corner, and, as always, it promises to bring with it some of the biggest trailers and commercials of the year, so no matter whether you're rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs or the San Francisco 49ers, the grand sporting event is sure to unite viewers in celebrating the future of entertainment.

As reported by Variety, anticipation is building for a first look at Marvel Studios' sole 2024 movie release, Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Disney could also drop a preview of Pixar's Inside Out 2 and another trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the next chapter in the Apes saga from 20th Century Fox.

Meanwhile, Paramount is poised to dominate the big game by unveiling trailers for several of its major releases, including the horror prequel A Quiet Place: Day One, music biopic Bob Marley: One Love, and John Krasinski's fantasy comedy IF, which is already shaping up to be a family-friendly crowd-pleaser.

The studio will also promote upcoming and existing offerings on Paramount+, including ads for its Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff Knuckles, book-based animated adventure The Tiger's Apprentice, Sylvester Stallone's reality show The Family Stallone, coming-of-age drama The Chi, as well as Halo and M:I - Dead Reckoning.

Universal is potentially lining up spots for Jon M. Chu's adaptation of Wicked, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, along with David Leitch's action-thriller The Fall Guy and DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda 4. It could also whip up a storm with a peek at its semi-sequel Twisters, led by Daisy Edgar-Jones.

It looks like neither Warner Bros., Sony, Netflix, or Amazon are yet to book slots this year, which means audiences shouldn't expect to see footage from Denis Villeneuve's forthcoming sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two, Gil Kenan's Afterlife follow-up Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, or Bad Boys 4, helmed by directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.

Super Bowl LVIII takes place on Feb. 11 between AFC and defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the NFC champions, the San Francisco 49ers. The game airs on CBS, Paramount+, and NFL+, with an alternative broadcast on Nickelodeon featuring a performance from SpongeBob Squarepants.
