The season finale of Percy Jackson and the Olympians pays tribute to the late actor Lance Reddick, who starred as Zeus in the Disney+ series.
As reported by Deadline, the Season 1 finale's credits begin with a title card reading: "In loving memory of Lance Reddick". The actor, who was also known for his roles in John Wick and The Wire, passed away suddenly from natural causes on March 17.
His appearance in Percy Jackson will be one of his final on performances, as his passing came not long after production ended.
Original author Rick Riordan was among several who paid tribute to Reddick after his death, saying "his gravitas and regal bearing made him perfect for the king of the gods".
Alongside his film and TV appearances, Reddick was also known as a fan of video games and appeared in several including the Destiny and Horizon franchises.
Players of the former gathered in Destiny's hub, The Tower, to honour Reddick, while the latter included an in-game tribute inside its Burning Shores expansion for Horizon: Forbidden West.
