The Simpsons is bringing back an infamous character from Season 1 in the form of Jacques, a bowling instructor who tried to have an affair with Marge.
As reported by The Independent, a synopsis for Season 34's upcoming Pin Girl episode said that "a mysterious figure from Marge’s past returns to coach her for a bowling tournament.” Though many fans assumed this to be Jacques, Simpsons showrunner Al Jean later confirmed his return on Twitter (below).
Making his debut 33 years ago and remaining practically unheard from since, Jacques featured in the Life on the Fast Lane episode in which Marge also learns how to bowl.

Frustrated with Homer for buying a bowling bowl for her birthday (with his name engraved on it), Marge proves a point by using the ball herself and comes across Jacques as a result.
The episode then revolves around the Simpsons family's concerns about Marge having an affair, but she eventually comes back to Homer to reassure him that Jacques is out of the picture and nothing happened between them.
This was the last major appearance of Jacques outside of a handful of incredibly light cameos, but all that will change when he makes a return in Sunday's episode.
