The Flash's big game trailer has arrived and features both Micheal Keaton and Ben Affleck's Batman, two Barry Allens, the return of General Zod, and the arrival of Kara Zor-El, who is also known as Supergirl.
The much-anticipated trailer gives us our best look yet at the major players in The Flash, which is set to be released in theaters on June 16, 2023.
"Worlds collide in 'The Flash' when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past," The official description reads. "But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he’s looking for.
"Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?"
The Flash's road to theaters has not been the smoothest one as, apart from multiple delays and directors, its star Ezra Miller has been in legal trouble over allegations of throwing a chair at a woman, grooming minors, and others in Hawaii, Massachusetts, and North Dakota.
Miller's future in James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Studios is still unclear, and all Gunn is saying now is, "Let's see what happens."
