The last month of the year has arrived, and with it comes the last batch of video games to release in 2022. Typically, December is an extremely light month in terms of new game releases, but this year is a little different. Several highly anticipated games are coming out this month for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. These include The Callisto Protocol, Marvel's Midnight Suns, and more.
After that, you can still look forward to plenty of planned 2023 game releases. The following list is divided by platform, and you can jump to your favorite one using the shortcuts below. And if you're someone who likes to preorder, you can click the buy link to make sure it arrives on launch day.

Upcoming PS4 and PS5 Games
A handful of pretty big games is landing on PS5 this month, starting with the turn-based tactics game Marvel's Midnight Suns. In our review, the critic wrote, "it makes excellent use of card game mechanics to keep battles fresh, evolving, and unpredictable over the course of an epic-length campaign." Also out this month are the Dead Space-like survival horror game The Callisto Protocol, a new Warhammer game with a fun name, and more.

Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games
You can explore the land of Draconia in Dragon Quest Treasures, a new Switch-exclusive game landing on December 9. Also out this month are the creepy, surprising card game Inscryption, a cloud version of Resident Evil 7, and a remake of a PSP Final Fantasy, among other games.

The Callisto Protocol call to mind Dead Space for a very good reason: it's made by one of the co-creators of the original Dead Space (which itself is getting a remake next month).
