Bioshock 4 has just recruited former Ghost of Tsushima writer, Liz Albl.
She joins the upcoming Bioshock game as narrative lead after working on the likes of Far Cry 4, Far Cry 5, and Watch Dogs Legion.
“The dream is real!” she announced on Twitter. “So happy to announce I've joined Cloud Chamber as Narrative Lead on Bioshock.”

The upcoming Bioshock sequel was originally announced way back in 2019 to be developed by the new 2K studio, Cloud Chamber.
However, it’s still unclear whether the project will be a direct sequel, with Cloud Chamber head Kelley Gilmore calling it simply “the next iteration in the BioShock franchise.”
It’s also unclear whether the game will return to Rapture or Columbia – the settings from Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock: Infinite. In fact, it’s thought that it probably won’t, after Cloud Chamber began recruiting for developers of a “new and fantastical world”.
“We...hope that fans love our future plans for this environment,” said Gilmore. “That said, it'll be a bit of a wait for more details, as the game will be in development for several years.”
Quite how far along Bioshock 4 is at this point remains unknown, but with the team gearing up its writers, it sounds as though it’s still a long way off.
Earlier this year, Netflix also announced the long-awaited Bioshock movie with director Francis Lawrence joining the project back in August.
IGN’s original Bioshock review gave it 9.7/10 and said: “BioShock stands as a monolithic example of the convergence of entertaining gameplay and an irresistibly sinister, engrossing storyline that encompasses a host of multifaceted characters. This is an essential gaming experience.”
