South Park Season 27 Episode 3 Trailer Sees Towelie Return for a Trip to Washington D.C.

It looks like South Park is bringing back Towelie to take another jab at President Donald Trump as Season 27 of the Comedy Central show rolls on.

A trailer for South Park Season 27 Episode 3, titled Sickofancy, premiered today, promising a return for everyone’s favorite pot-smoking, talking towel as he takes his first steps in the nation's capital. It appears series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are already teeing up their latest swing at the Trump Administration, too, as Towelie’s trip to the White House will see him come face-to-face with armed soldiers and tanks in a militarized Washington D.C..

Viewers can expect to tune into the South Park Sickofancy episode when it premieres during its regular slot tonight at 10/9c on Comedy Central. Paramount+ subscribers can also watch the episode when it comes to the service tomorrow.

South Park Season 27 Episode 3 will continue the show’s run tonight. The Comedy Central series’ latest batch of episodes have released via a bi-weekly schedule thus far, and it’s expected to follow that same plan for at least another month. The current plan is to see Episode 4 arrive September 3, with Episode 5 then set to follow September 17 (via THR).

The latest look at how the citizens of South Park will continue to deal with their new President follows a public battle that saw Parker and Stone criticizing Paramount and its merge with Skydance Media in July. At the time, posts made on official social media pages called the merger a “s**tshow” that was “f**king up South Park.” Plans for Season 27 were then briefly thrown off due to issues involving a deal for the show’s future.

Parker and Stone were able to secure the $1.5 billion deal soon after, but few were prepared for how South Park Season 27 would begin. Episode 1, Sermon on the Mount, premiered July 23 with direct criticism of Trump, including jokes about the President’s policies, behavior, and appearance. The scathing commentary continued with Episode 2, Got A Nut, two weeks later, with South Park making sure to shift its focus slightly to Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.
