Skibidi Toilet Film Reportedly in the Works From Michael Bay

Skibidi Toilet looks set to break free from the shackles of YouTube infamy and explode out into the world of film and TV, with Transformers head honcho Michael Bay at the helm.

According to Variety, director Michael Bay and former Paramount Pictures president Adam Goodman plan to develop a film and TV treatment for Skibidi Toilet.

Skibidi Toilet is a series of YouTube videos by Alexey Gerasimov that revolve around a war between toilets with a human head and cyborgs who have electronic devices such as CCTV cameras, speakers, and televisions for heads.

The shorts, produced using Valve’s Source Filmmaker, went viral last year and are hugely popular among young people. They have also generated controversy, with some saying Skibidi Toilet’s violence and creepy, unsettling animation is unsuitable for children. Amid the debate, “skibidi dom dom dom yes yes” can be heard echoing around school playgrounds across the globe.

He's building something that could be the next 'Transformers' or could be a Marvel universe.

Talks on a Skibidi Toilet TV show or film are said to be at the earliest stages, but Goodman is quoted as insisting Gerasimov is “building something that could be the next Transformers or could be a Marvel universe.”

Goodman also said one idea is a hybrid animated/live action version of Skibidi stylistically similar to the John Wick and District 9 movies.

It's hard to imagine what a Skibidi Toilet film or TV show might look like story wise, given Gerasimov's YouTube series does not feature any dialogue beyond the infamous song. But fans have fussed over Skibidi Toilet lore for over a year now, and there are a surprising number of theories Michael Bay and co might want to pull at if this project ever does get off the ground.
