Deadpool & Wolverine Catapults NSYNC's 'Bye Bye Bye' Into Top 20 on Spotify's Global Chart

Warning: Spoilers follow for Deadpool & Wolverine.

Deadpool & Wolverine has propelled NSYNC's hit song 'Bye Bye Bye' into the Top 20 on Spotify's global chart more than two decades after its original release.

The track - that "Dancepool" busted a (highly choreographed) move to in Deadpool & Wolverine's unforgettable opening credits scene - has soared up the music charts 24 years after its original release. At the time of writing, it has climbed to #13 on Spotify Global's Top 50, with an impressive 3.827 million streams.

Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy took to X/Twitter to comment on the resurgence of the pop classic as he reshared some earlier statistics about the song's success and declared: "Our work here is done."

The YouTube account for the body-popping boyband has even renamed the video for the song, which was uploaded on October 25, 2009, to "Bye Bye Bye (Official Video from Deadpool and Wolverine)."

The viral dance clip from Deadpool & Wolverine sees the Merc with a Mouth moving in sync to NSYNC, but the man behind the mask is dancer-choreographer Nick Pauley. He posted a video on Instagram over the weekend to show off his routine and thank Reynolds for "believing" in him to play Dancepool in the MCU movie.

Deadpool & Wolverine's soundtrack is now available on vinyl in several color configurations. It features NSYNC's hit song as well as catchy tunes from The Goo Goo Dolls, Huey Lewis & The News, and so many more.

It's no surprise to see 'Bye Bye Bye' shoot up the charts, given Deadpool & Wolverine's record-breaking success at the box office. The Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest grossed $211 million domestically, making it the sixth-biggest domestic opening of all time. That brings its global gross to $444.3 million.

In our Deadpool & Wolverine review, we called it "an outrageous, consistently funny superhero comedy that succeeds largely thanks to the contagious enthusiasm of leads Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, and a surprisingly classy perspective on superhero movie history."
