It's a big, thick box set, and it's on sale for less than half price in 4K UHD. If you're looking for something to watch, you could do a lot worse. The only catch is you have to have a Prime membership, which you can get now with two inexpensive options. If you've never used a free trial, you can get a month for free. If you're ineligible for that, you can sign up for a week of Prime for $1.99. Not bad.

The collection includes all 72 episodes of the show, which adds up to eight seasons of television. It also comes with 15 hours of special features, giving you a peek behind the scenes at what it's like to create a show this big and wide-ranging.
Based on the (still-unifinished!) novels by George R.R. Martin, the Game of Thrones HBO show ran from 2011 to 2019. A lot of people, myself included, weren't thrilled with how it ended, but there's no denying it had a great run for many years. It's filled with compelling characters, political intrigue, and all manner of sex and violence. Watching House of the Dragon last night reminded me of how great it feels to spend time in Westeros.
Just scrolling through images for this article, I was reminded of how many incredible characters populated the Game of Thrones show throughout the years. You've got the Starks and Lannisters, of course, with Ned and Arya and Tyrion and Cersei. But there are literally dozens of secondary and tertiary characters who stand out, like Brienne, Samwell Tarly, Bronne, Ygritte, Yara Greyjoy, Olenna Tyrell, Tormund Giantsbane, and on and on. It's ridiculous, really.
