The long-awaited Star Wars series Lando, starring Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, is now being developed as a movie, IGN has confirmed.
Stephen Glover, Donald Glover’s brother and co-writer on the project, first revealed the news in an appearance on the Pablo Torre Finds Out show.
“It’s not even a show…the idea right now is to do a movie,” he said. “Right now, because of the strike its kinds of like telephone all of the information.”
IGN has also confirmed with a source close to the production that it is indeed being developed as a feature film. IGN's source adds, however, that this has been the case for some time, as Disney is not currently negotiating with the Glovers per the terms of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
