Ahead of its release tomorrow, August 8, on digital platforms, IGN can exclusively share with fans the first 10 minutes of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, which can be viewed via either the player above or the embed below.
The digital release includes over 90 minutes of bonus content, including a deleted scene featuring Miguel O'Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, and filmmaker commentary. This sequel to the 2018 Oscar winner Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will also be available on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on September 5.
In the movie, Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) goes on an adventure across the Multiverse, where he crosses paths with the Spider Society – literally every other person (or cat or dinosaur!) who wears the Spider mask.
As such, Across the Spider-Verse features even more cameos than its predecessor, although there was one very meta cameo that didn’t make the cut.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse earned $680.8 million at the worldwide box office during its theatrical run, which saw two different versions playing in cinemas.
The ending of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is a cliffhanger that reveals it’s only the first part of a two-part story. Unfortunately, the next chapter, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, has been indefinitely delayed from its original 2024 release date.
In our Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse review, we praised the film for “strong performances and character arcs that feel true to the heroes we met last time [that] help ensure that Across the Spider-Verse is a more-than-worthy follow-up to an all-time classic.”
