Marvel and Sony Pictures Animation's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse received an extremely artistic poster dedicated to its upcoming theatrical release in China, and we are in awe of it.
Christopher Miller, co-writer for Across the Spider-Verse, shared the poster on Twitter on Friday saying, "Creativity inspires creativity. Love. This. Poster."
The poster's art style is inspired by the classic Chinese novel, Journey to the West, where Miles Morales is depicted as Sun Wukong (or Monkey King) surrounded by all the other Spider-Men portraying the Four Heavenly Kings, Erlang Shen, and Nezha.
Creativity inspires creativity.

To give you an idea of who's who on the poster, Gwen (Spider-Woman or Spider-Gwen, depending on your preference) portrays Nezha; Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099) represents Tripitaka; and the original Spider-Man on Miles' left on the depicts Erlang Shen. One way or another, the attention to detail is as amazing as all the Spider-Men combined.
Across the Spider-Verse is the first Spider-Man film in four years to be given a release date in China. The last Spider-Man film to premiere in the country was Spider-Man: Far From Home. Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home were banned from China 2021 due to rumors of Venom actor Tom Hardy making "anti-China" comments at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, and Sony rejecting a request from the China Film Administration to remove the Statue of Liberty, respectively.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings to theaters June 2.
