Masters of the Universe: Revolution is bringing back Meg Foster, the actress who played Evil-Lyn in 1987's live-action Masters of the Universe, to play an "ancient sorceress of technology in the fight for the soul of Eternia" named Motherboard.
While she won't be playing Evil-Lyn in 2024's Masters of the Universe: Revolution as that character was played by Game of Thrones' Lena Headey in Masters of the Universe: Revelation, her character will play an important role in the story as she is trying to plunge Eternia into "imminent darkness."
"Acting as Hordak’s liasion on Eternia, Motherboard is a powerful sentient artificial intelligence that uses her nanovirus powers to manipulate Skeletor and the people of Eternia as she aims to ensnare the planet, and Grayskull, as a prize for Hordak," The official description reads.
“My part in Masters of the Universe more than 35 years ago remains one of my most cherished roles,”
said Meg Foster. “I am both thrilled and honored to come back into the fold to embody a brilliant, all-new
villainous character that adds color to the vibrant storytelling that Kevin Smith and Mattel have brought
to life for fans around the world.”
Masters of the Universe: Revolution will serve as a follow-up to 2021's Master of the Universe: Revelation when it arrives on Netflix next year, and it promises to take the He-Man vs. Skeletor rivalry to "places audiences have never before experienced."
Joining Foster in this new story of technology vs. magic will be Chris Wood as He-Man, Melissa Benoist at Teela, Mark Hamill as Skeletor, and William Shatner as a still-to-be announced role.
