Zack Snyder Teases 'Full Circle' Darkseid Announcement

Batman v Superman and Justice League director Zack Snyder has teased a "full circle" Darkseid announcement coming next month.

In an incredibly cryptic tweet (below), the director shared a short clip of an "incoming transmission from Lord Darkseid" that will arrive between April 28 and 30.

With such little information to go off, however, it's incredibly difficult to deduce what this means. Given that James Gunn and Peter Safran recently revealed their Chapter 1 plans for the new DCU and Darkseid was left off it, it's perhaps unlikely to be a film.

Darkseid was the main villain of Batman v Superman, however, the other characters of which exist within the current DCEU that includes the likes of Shazam, Black Adam, and Wonder Woman. The "full circle" comment also alludes to a return to the beginning of the DCEU, which was opened by Snyder's Man of Steel.

That being said, DC Studios' new bosses do seem adamant about moving on from these films, with Ezra Miller's Flash movie promising to restart the entire universe.

Whether or not Snyder has a place in the new DCU remains to be seen, but DC Comics chief creative officer Kim Lee said in July last year that Justice League: The Snyder Cut would likely be the director's final entry in the franchise.
