Hasbro's Marvel Legends line has shown plenty of love to the modern incarnation of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Both the comic book and MCU incarnations of Star-Lord and the gang have seen plenty of action figures over the years. But what about the original 31st-Century Guardians? That's where Hasbro's latest Marvel Legends reveal comes in.
IGN can exclusively reveal Hasbro's upcoming Yondu figure, which is based not on Michael Rooker's grungy space pirate, but the classic, bow and arrow-wielding Yondu Udonta. Get a closer look in the slideshow gallery below:
This Yondu hails from the 31st Century, a time when the Guardians are the first line of defense against the invading Badoon Empire. This figure captures that classic and very colorful design well, right down to Yondu's oversized fin and quiver full of sonically-controlled yaka arrows.
Like most Marvel Legends figures, Yondu is six inches tall and features extensive articulation. The figure is priced at $24.99 and will be sold exclusively through Target. Preorders for Yondu should go live later in Spring 2023.
We fully expect Hasbro will continue to show the MCU Guardians some love in 2023, especially with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 fast approaching. For now, though, Hasbro hasn't revealed any new MCU figures since their recent Black Panther: World of Wakanda line. They've also released several life-size props inspired by the MCU, including Thor: Love and Thunder's Mjolnir and Doctor Strange's Eye of Agamotto.
