A new trailer for Netflix's That '90s Show just dropped and, thankfully, the new series seems to revitalize the original show with faces old and new.
Red and Kitty Forman, the iconic parenting duo from the original That '70s Show, return in full force in the trailer, showcasing their significant role in the new series. They are now grandparents, but it looks like they haven't changed a bit. From Kitty's bubbly and wild antics to Red's grumpy one-liners, That '90s Show utilizes just the right amount of our favorite Wisconsin couple.
The new 10-episode Netflix series takes place in the summer of 1995, and it follows Eric and Donna’s daughter, Leia Forman, as she discovers the quirks of Point Place, Wisconsin on a visit to her grandparents, Red and Kitty. Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith, who play Kitty and Red, now welcome a new band of hooligans to their home and the nostalgic basement.
Rupp and Smith are recurring stars in the series, but previous fan-favorites are, thankfully, still going to be seen throughout the show. Topher Grace and Laura Prepon will return as Eric and Donna, and Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Wilmer Valderrama will also make intermittent guest appearances.
New faces to the series include Callie Haverda as Leia alongside Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi and Sam Morelos. Together, the new cast looks to recreate the antics and vibe of the original multi-camera comedy series but with an updated twist.
The familiar faces don't stop in front of the camera, though; original series creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner, as well as their daughter Lindsey, are serving as writers and producers on the new show. Also, That '70s show producer Gregg Mettler serves as showrunner for the Netflix spinoff.
That ’90s Show will hit Netflix on January 19, 2023.
