Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania has added The Good Place star, William Jackson Harper.
According to Variety, Harper will be joining the MCU in an unknown role that’s apparently a “closely guarded secret”. Harper is best known for the role of Chidi Anagonye in the hit comedy series The Good Place and also starred in the 2019 folk horror, Midsommar.
Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne alongside Johnathan Majors as the villainous Kang the Conqueror – a role we saw introduced in the recent Disney+ series, Loki.
Quantumania will continue the story of Kang – a multiversal, time-traveling villain who resides within the Quantum Realm which was first introduced in Ant-Man and became a major part of The Avengers’ plan to reverse Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Endgame.
Also joining the cast is Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang – the now grown-up daughter of Ant-Man.
Just a few days ago, Marvel debuted the first Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania trailer, giving us a glimpse into the Quantum Realm at Kang the Conqueror. Much like his appearance in Loki, it looks as though we’ll encounter different versions of Kang (or He Who Remains) with one appearing to help Ant-Man while another more comic-accurate version steps into his familiar villainous guise from the comic books.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige has called Quantumania “a direct line into Phase 5 and Kang Dynasty” as the MCU edges towards two new Avengers movies, with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty coming in 2025.
Of course, fans are already speculating about what Harper’s role will be in Quantumania. One of the more popular choices? Reed Richards.

“William Jackson Harper spent four seasons delivering the nerdiest dialogue on television and did it so convincingly you’d think he wrote it himself,” said one Twitter user. “He’d be perfect for Reed Richards.”
What his role will be, remains to be seen… but if Krasinski isn’t returning for Fantastic Four, Harper could well make an excellent replacement.
